The Most and Least Common Birthdays
I found an Internet site that showed the most and the least common birthdays in Japan. It is easy to guess what the least common birthday is. It’s February 29, of course! This day only comes once every four years, in a leap year. The second least common birthday is New Year’s Day. Doctors and nurses probably don’t want to work on January 1, so mothers who need a special operation have their babies on a different day. What is the most common birthday in Japan? I was a little surprised. It is April 2. I think it has something to do with the age for starting school. The second most common birthday is September 25, and the third most common birthday is Christmas Day!
