Me & 2003
Wow, I had to think hard about this let’s see…
I was living in Vancouver and was a Manager with a popular company called Restoration Hardware. We had many famous celebrities as our customers for example, Goldie Hawn.
In May I took a solo trip to Cuba, my fourth and come to think of it…it was my last resort trip as a “Bachelor”.
The resort was called Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba and it was on a small island in the Caribbean Sea. I played sports and relaxed on the beach all day and at night I danced to salsa music while drinking many mojitos.
While I was there I witnessed my first experience of Japanese hospitality. One night at dinner three Japanese ladies came to my table and offered me some cake. It was one of their birthdays and they were sharing their cake with everyone in the restaurant. Wow…how nice!

Canadian Steve Weir wins the Masters Golf Tournament and Vancouver is awarded the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Restoration Hardwareという会社を調べてみましたが、家具から設備までなんでも取り扱うすごい会社なんですね。そんな会社で管理職をやっていたそうです。10年後札幌で暮らすなどと思いもしないで・・・。みんなドラマがありますね。皆さんのドラマは？
同窓会参加数がやっと50名に達しました。（須釜）
’Mojito’ って何ですか、とご質問を受けました。
二年前の春まつりで、Philipがゆうきさんをアシスタントに作っていたあのカクテルです。Mojitoはスペイン語で「モヒート」と発音し、文豪アーネスト・ヘミングウェイもこよなく愛したと言われるキューバ生まれのミント＆ライムが香るカクテルです。 Cheers!!

英語には日本語のような「敬語」はない代わりにこうした気配りが発達していますね。
