98% of the Energy Comes from Renewable Sources
The UN Climate Change Conference has just ended. Countries around the world got together in Dubai and promised to move away from fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and gas. These fossil fuels are one big reason why we have global warming. We had the hottest and longest summer ever this year. If the earth keeps getting warmer, the ice at the North and South Poles will melt and the sea will rise. People will no longer be able to live on islands or in low places. The conference members agreed to use more renewable energy, and many countries are looking to Uruguay as an example. It makes 98% of its energy from renewable sources.
