英語も難しいけれど、日本語も難しい、というお話です。難しいと思ったらイヤになりますが、面白いといえば面白いのではないでしょうか。

・ほとんどの漢字は読み方がいくつもある･･･readingsというのは面白いですね。ways to readとかways of readingというよりラクですね。
・名前に関しては日本語は英語よりはるかに難しい･･･when it comes to ～は重宝な英語です。

English and Japanese are Difficult!
In English, we have words that sound the same but are spelled differently like “meat” and “meet.” We also have words that have the same spelling but have a different pronunciation like “tie a bow” and “bow to someone.” Japanese is difficult, too. Almost every character has two or more readings. When it comes to names, Japanese is much more difficult than English. For example, I looked up “Hiroshi” and found 257 ways to write it! Even family names can be read in different ways. The characters for “Habu” Yoshiharu, the shogi pro, are the same as the characters for “Hanyu” Yuzuru, the professional skater!
