・名前を聞いたあと･･･簡潔な英語ですね
生きているかどうか、家にいるかどうかわからなのに片道３０キロ、すごい体力ですね。

Readers’ Corner: Seeing an Old Friend
I cycled 30 km to see an old friend. He and I are in our 70s, but we hadn’t seen each other for 40 years, so I was actually not sure whether he was alive or not. When I arrived at his home, I saw someone who didn’t have the face or body of the younger man I used to know. He also didn’t seem to know who I was. He was very surprised after hearing my name. We were full of nostalgia. We chatted a lot for two hours. I had to ride back 30 km on my bike, so we promised to see each other again, and I headed home.
*Here is a correction. In yesterday’s story. I wrote that Fujii Sota won the Meijin title, but that is wrong. He won the Oza title.
