No Smartphone, No Timetable
When I took the subway in Nagoya the day before yesterday, I was really surprised. I knew that the city had changed the times of the trains over the weekend, and I wanted to see what the new times were. I looked around, but I couldn’t find a timetable on the platform. Instead, there was a board with several QR codes on it. You have to use your smartphone (or a computer) to look up the times of the trains now. I tried with my smartphone, and it was easy, but I know some people who don’t own a smartphone. How can they find out the train times? There is one timetable just outside the ticket gate, but if you are on the platform, you have to ask someone who has a phone.
