Red Flowers Bring Birds
Every season has at least one flower in bloom. Now there are red flowers blooming everywhere in Nagoya. I used to have an image of flowers blooming in warm weather, but camelias bloom when it’s cold. They are beautiful in the snow. Their red color looks bright against the white of the snow. Several birds love camelias because they can drink the nectar of the flowers. I especially like white-eyes. They are small, green birds with a pleasant voice. Another bird that loves camelias is the brown-eared bulbul. It is a noisy bird and much bigger than the white-eye, so it is easier to find.
