Volcano Watching
The world’s largest active volcano has started to erupt. Mauna Loa is over 16,000 meters from top to bottom, but more than half the volcano is below the sea. This volcano is on the Big Island of Hawaii. On November 27, it erupted for the first time in almost 40 years. Red-hot lava started coming out of the side of the volcano. You can see beautiful rivers of orange at night. For the moment, no one living on Hawaii is in danger. There is another volcano on Hawaii called Kilauea that has been erupting for more than a year, so if you like volcanoes, this is the perfect time to go to Hawaii.
