Another Sign of Spring
According to the TV news last night, the first cherry blossoms have opened. They found several open flowers on the sample cherry tree in Nagoya. Actually, the Nagoya tree started blooming two days later than the one in Tokyo this year. Tokyo’s sample tree is on the grounds of Yasukuni Shrine, and the blossoms there started to open on Sunday. The report said that the cherry blossoms in Nagoya will be in full bloom in nine days. Are you planning to go cherry blossom viewing? There is a river north of Nagoya called the Gojo River which is lined with cherry trees for more than seven kilometers. I have never been there, and if possible, I want to take a long walk under those trees this year.
