The State of Emergency is Over in Japan
Yesterday evening, Prime Minister Abe said that the state of emergency was over in Japan. It was lifted in the two last places, the Tokyo area and Hokkaido. Schools around the country and most businesses are reopening. Baseball fans like me are happy to hear that professional games will start in the middle of June. Although we cannot watch them at the stadiums, we will be able to see the games on TV. Life is slowly getting back to normal, but we still have to be careful and follow the rules: wear masks, avoid crowds, and maintain social distancing.
