Readers’ Corner: Zoom is Part of My Life
The pandemic still threatens our society, and it seems that Zoom continues to play an important role in the business world and in the world of education. Although I am neither a business person nor an educator, Zoom is a part of my daily life as an English learner. I practice English conversation with some of my friends on Zoom early in the morning for 30 minutes twice a week. It is only 30 minutes, but it is a meaningful 30 minutes. I also belong to an English reading group. The members meet on Zoom twice a month to read aloud and translate an English book little by little. Each time I learn a lot from the other members. That is why Zoom is necessary for me. But I still miss meeting people in person.
