Shodai Did It!
The Sumo Autumn Tournament ended yesterday. It was an unusual and exciting tournament. Both yokozuna were out with injuries. The highest-ranking wrestlers were the two ozeki, Takakeisho and Asanoyama, Shodai, a sekiwake, was one rank below them. He got off to a good start, and then he beat both ozekis to take the lead. On the last day, he fought against one of the most exciting new wrestlers, Tobizaru. The “jumping monkey” couldn’t stop him, and Shodai won the tournament.
