・これは家に留まる人が減って夜出歩く人が増えているせいでしょうか･･･増える、減るは動詞を使うよりこのような言い方が自然な英語です。
・どちらにしても in any case
・social distanceは動詞で使っています
・防備を緩めるべきではない･･･letを使っていますね

He was on TV was* because he is moving to a new Italian professional volleyball team in Milano. この文でwas*が不要です。あるいはThe reason he was on TV was because he…と最初に書いて推敲の段階でwasを消し忘れたとも考えられます。
※※今日の本文でも冒頭文にin Japanがダブっています。これも推敲の際のミスでしょう。

Don’t Let Your Guard Down
The number of people in Japan who have the coronavirus is going up in Japan. In the last few days, there have been more than 20 new cases per day in Tokyo. Is it because fewer people are staying at home and more people are going out at night? Or is it because there is more testing? In any case, if we want to keep the number of cases down, we should continue to social distance, avoid crowded places, and wear masks in public. We should not let our guard down. But this is so difficult! Most people don’t like to stay home all the time. They want to go out, have fun, and meet other people.
