An Amazing Finish!
Japan and the USA came into the WBC with great teams. They met in Miami yesterday in the final, and it was a close, exciting game. The USA scored first, but Murakami quickly tied the score with a homer. By the middle of the game, Japan was leading 3-1. Then the USA scored in the 8th inning to make the score 3-2. Ohtani was the last pitcher, and the last batter was Trout, the other great batter from the LA Angels. It was one teammate against another. Would Trout save the USA? Would Ohtani win for Japan? Ohtani struck him out, and Japan was the champion.
