Readers’ Corner: Crazy about Baseball
One of my neighbors wasn’t interested in baseball at all because he didn’t know anything about the game itself. He didn’t even know the rule that the batter had to be changed after three strikes. However, at the age of 50, he happened to learn the rules of baseball from his company colleagues. He suddenly went crazy watching baseball. One day I saw him on the train, but he didn’t notice me. He was listening to something on a portable radio with earphones, and his eyes were looking up at the ceiling of the train. He later said that he was listening to a baseball broadcast and fantasizing about the game.
