Autumn is Here!
Autumn is here! You can feel it in the air. The temperatures are still higher than usual, but it’s no longer that humid, and the nights are cool. As long as you stay out of the sun during the day, you won’t feel so hot. Saturday was the autumnal equinox. That is one of two days of the year when the day and the night are the same length. Many people in Japan go to cemeteries to visit their family graves. Another sign of the autumnal equinox are red spider lilies, known as “flowers of higan.” Because the summer this year was so long, the autumn may be shorter, so get out and enjoy the weather while it is beautiful!
