The Rainy Season, Good or Bad?
The rainy season has finally begun in the Tokai and Tohoku areas. It started earlier than usual in Okinawa and in the Kanto area this year, but it was eight days later than usual in my area. How do you feel about the rainy season? Most people I know dislike it. They don’t like the way their clothes get wet when they go outside, and they always have to carry an umbrella. It’s difficult to dry your clothes after washing them, and things get moldy (“kabi ga haeru”). But there are people who like the rainy season. I was talking to someone who said that the rainy season is so much better than the hot, humid Nagoya summer that follows.
