Cash, Credit Cards, and Electronic Money
While I was in the U.S., I hardly ever used cash. Americans don’t like to carry cash, but they don’t use electronic money like PayPay at stores, either. So how do they pay? Most people use credit cards. I used my credit card at restaurants, gas stations, and even at convenience stores. It was so easy. You stick your credit card into the card reader, and the store okays it in no time. I am back in Japan now, and things are different. I use electronic money when I can, but I need cash because my favorite bakery doesn’t accept electronic money. My credit card usually stays in my wallet unless I buy something online.
