A Movie Called “Bullet Train”
The bullet train is the English name for the Shinkansen, Japan’s fastest train, but it is also the name of a new movie. It is an action comedy that is coming out this summer in the U.S. The movie has an all-star cast which includes Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, and Lady Gaga. I was surprised when I watched the trailer on YouTube. Even though the story takes place in Japan, most of the people on the train seemed to be from other countries. The movie is based on a Japanese book called “Maria Beetle” by the Japanese mystery writer Isaka Kotaro. It seems like the characters in the book were Japanese, so I think that the director used American actors to make the movie more attractive to Americans.
