★今日のじゃれマガ 全文
All the Names Were in Katakana
We had an event at Fujimae Tidal Flat on Sunday. We took seven families out on a rocky tidal flat near the center and looked for living creatures. There were many little crabs under the rocks. Some families also found hermit crabs (“yadokari”), tiny shrimp, baby fish, and shellfish. We took everything back to the center to look at the living creatures more closely. I was in charge of the event, so I had to write down the names of everything on the whiteboard. All the names were in katakana, and some were rather long. Although katakana isn’t difficult, I seldom use it, so I had to think carefully before writing.
