That’s Really Big!
When you think of large freshwater fish, what kind of fish do you think of? I have read about some very large catfish that live in Europe. The wels catfish can grow up to 3 meters long and weighs up to 200 kgs. It eats things at the bottom of rivers and lakes such as worms, crabs, and other fish, but it can also jump onto land and catch pigeons! These catfish are big, but there is an even bigger fish in Southeast Asia: the freshwater giant stingray. One was caught this year in Cambodia. It was almost 4 meters long and weighed 300 kgs. Now that is really big!
