A Great Way to End the Summer!
This is the first time in three years that Japan has returned to normal and is doing what it does best in summer: festivals. Here in Nagoya, the Nippon Domanaka Festival has just ended its live version. The idea for this festival comes from two great dancing festivals, the Kochi Yosakoi Festival and the Sapporo Yosakoi Soran Festival. At the Domanaka Festival, dancing teams parade through the streets and perform on different stages around the center of the city. Their performances are full of energy as the dancers jump and turn to the music in colorful costumes. It’s a great way to end the summer!
