The Wrong Funeral
After a tap dance class, Ms. A, another student, came up to me and said, “I have terrible news. Ms. B has passed away. She didn’t tell anyone, but she had cancer.” I was rather surprised because Ms. B was very healthy the last time I saw her. Her funeral was the next day. I had to work that day, but I decided to go to the funeral and be late for work. When Ms. A told me where the funeral was, I started to wonder. Why was it so far away? Then I asked her for the full name of the person who had died. The first name was similar, but the last name was different. It wasn’t the person I was thinking of. I almost went to the wrong funeral!
