・ガッカリして（帰った）･･･disappointedlyと副詞にするのではなくdisappointedと形容詞で補語として表現しています。補語の働きにはいつも感動します。
・見当外れ（wrong）の日を選んで（pick）しまった･･･pickもwrongもよいお手本ですね。

The Wrong Day
I went to a super sento for the first time in more than two years with my wife. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was worried about catching Covid-19, so I stayed away. Later, I found out that the bath itself was rather safe because of the hot water and the humidity. You just had to be careful in the dressing area. We finally decided to start going again last night. It was a short drive to the bath, but when we got there, everything was dark. There was a chain on the parking lot entrance and a sign that said it was closed. We drove back disappointed. When I checked the Internet site, I noticed that the bath is only closed on the third Tuesday of each month. We picked the wrong day!
