Breaking Chocolate
This is the last day of January, and next month is the big one for chocolate lovers (and chocolate companies). Of course, you don’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day to buy chocolate. You can buy it at your local convenience store or supermarket. Chocolate comes in many different shapes and sizes, but you can still buy old-style chocolate bars. Why do chocolate bars have deep lines in them? I always thought that it was so that we could break the chocolate into smaller pieces. According to one chocolate maker, however, that is not the real reason. The lines make chocolate easier to cool down, and it is also easier to take the chocolate out of the mold.
