Performing in a Pandemic
Over the weekend, I took part in a tap dance performance with a total of 80 dancers. It was our first performance in three years. The last one was in 2019, before the pandemic. This time, it was more difficult. We had to wear masks all the time until it was our turn to get on stage. We took them off, danced, and then put on new masks as soon as we left the stage. The audience couldn’t cheer us on with words, but they showed their appreciation by clapping loudly. There were no crowds in the lobby after the performance. Everyone had to leave the theater as soon as it was over. However, in spite of the pandemic, everyone had a great time!
