Readers’ Corner: Bring Back Coin Lockers!
I was surprised to know that coin lockers at Kyoto Station cannot be used with coins. Does this mean that people like me who do not have credit cards cannot use coin lockers? Isn’t this a kind of discrimination? I want to strongly protest to the officials of Kyoto Station and ask them to install coin-operated lockers again. A locker that cannot be used with coins can no longer be called a coin-operated locker. What are these lockers called? People who don’t have credit cards these days feel small and out of place. For example, I can’t sign up for Zoom even if I want to. Will people without credit be able to live in the future?
