High School Essay, Honorable Mention: Two Acorns
On one Wednesday evening, which is the middle of the week, I felt tired from my school life. In contrast, I heard the voices of children playing happily. When I looked, smiling children were running around the playground, and their mothers were watching over them. I was tired so I looked away and tried to pass by. The sight was too much for me. Then I heard footsteps, pitter-patter, and someone touched my back. When I turned around, a boy gave me two acorns. I took them. We didn’t talk to each other, but the boy made me smile!
