・You…このあと何回もyouが出てきますが、これらを「あなた」とは考えない方が英語が上手になります。誰にでも当てはまることを言う時にyouを使います。このyouが使えるようになると英語を話す/書くのがめっちゃラクになります。
・～に印象を与える･･･これは物にしたいですね。
・その人が良いか悪いかはわからない･･･このifの使い方もお手本ですね。
・服ではなくその人自身を見る･･･lookを省略していますね。

Sayings about Clothes
I know two sayings about clothes, and they have very different meanings. One is “Don’t judge a man by the clothes he wears.” It means that good clothes don’t make people good. There is another saying that has the opposite meaning, “Clothes make the man.” This means that you will be successful if you wear good clothes. Which do you agree with? I think both are true. You will be a better businessperson if you wear good clothes because you will make a good impression on your customers. However, clothes cannot show you if someone is good or bad. You need to look at the people themselves, not at their clothes.
