Readers’ Corner: Snack Rivalry
You wrote about the rivalry between “kinoko no yama” and “takenoko no sato” a while ago. I was very interested in that. I often talk about it with my family. My wife and I like “takenoko no sato” better, and my children prefer “kinoko no yama.” But several years ago, I found new types of the same snacks. They were called “otona no” meaning “for adults.” I tried both of them. They were not too sweet. Then I changed my mind. Now, I prefer “kinoko no yama for adults” to “takenoko no sato for adults.” The cracker part of “kinoko no yama for adults” is especially delicious.
