ふぃるマガ：In my 70’s
リレーエッセイのタスキを受けた石井義一さんが「英語で書かなくては」と思いこんで書いてくれました。

I don’t care about my age. I’m always young at heart. But people I meet seem to care about my age.
One of my swimming school classmates asked me in the pool one day…How old are you? So I told him my age.
Then he said “You are the oldest person in this school”. I was confused by his comment but I said “Thank you”.
I have many friends my age and they enjoy many activities. One of my friends enjoys playing baseball on a senior’s team. Another friend is proud to play golf over 80 times a year.
Some even play music in a band.
One of them has been playing the guitar, in a band, for 40 years and he is now 85 years old.
I don’t think this is so uncommon nowadays for older men. I think I have to try harder with my hobbies.
