先日のじゃれマガです。
日米のマンション（これは代表的な和製英語。英語ではcondominium）の売り方に違いがあるといっています。( )の部分の英語を考えて（思い出して）みましょう。

There seems to be a difference between the way condominiums (apartments owned by individuals) are sold in Japan and the U.S. In the U.S., real estate agents show people the floor plans of a new condominium before it goes up. During construction, one of the apartments is used as a model room. （日本では建設業者は建物が出来上がるまで待っていません） They build separate model rooms for prospective buyers. That may seem like a waste of money, but the sooner the apartments sell, the more profit the builder will make.
